(That was a reference :'D)
I thought it was about time I did a journal as I haven't done a proper journal since Christmas, oops...
So anyway, I did my final semester at University and have now finished! Yay! However, I've not yet graduated because for some reason our Uni doesn't do graduation until January... But when I do, I will be graduating with a 2:1 BA (Hons) in Illustration! When I decided to go to Uni one of my main concerns was getting work done on time/ having enough worthy of a decent grade at hand in; So to have achieved a 2:1 is actually pretty great for me!
But now I kinda feel a bit like I'm in limbo. My hand in was May and I've not really drawn/created anything since then... I've either lacked inspiration or when I've been inspired I've lacked motivation... On one hand I'm not fussed as one of my main things after uni was I felt I needed to take a step back, after working so hard take a break and work as and when I want; it's just the latter isn't really happening :'D
And I need to get back into a routine of doing things so I can put together a potential portfolio when I do start applying for jobs. Again something else I didn't want to rush into, but I've had a brief gander at some jobs/companies and it's becoming increasingly common that they're asking for applicants with "several years experience". I don't know if that means in a similar job or as an illustrator... But I am considering applying to places for experience in time, it's just the ones I've seen are probably very popular and difficult to get in to...
That's that anyway, I still have a job. Granted it's not a spectacular job but it's brings in some pennies, I've been there long enough people turn to me to ask what to do and yeah, it's pretty simple but that doesn't make it any less tiring. But hey ho it's a job, I'm keeping an eye out for both art related and unrelated jobs anyway. In fact I saw an art one today for a web game company. but I don't think I'm ready to apply for it right now.
That's about it really, I'm just working and trying to get out of this art funk. I will really try (I know I've said this before) to keep updating on here, even if I'm linking to other sites etc.
Til next time! x

Update
Hello!
I don't know whether I have many/any active followers, but if I do I need to apologise for not being around. There's not really been a particular reason, I just sort of forgot to upload here? I know that sounds awful but I plan to ammend that! :)
My last submission was a couple of years ago and I have done stuff since but probably not a lot for that time frame... ^^; I find I lose inspiration a lot, and it's something I need to work on.
Anyway I hope whoever still follows my page is well, and thanks for sticking with me if you're still here! :'D
If you have instagram do follow me there @Hellonsy, because if I go quiet here I'm more
Llama Llama Duck
Can anyone explain why I'm suddenly getting an influx of Llama badges? Like, I'm not complaining, but I'm really confused ha ha :'D
Hope y'all having a look at my gallery too, that'd be sweet :D
DA Artist Questionnaire
How long have you been on DeviantArt?
10 years, damn!
What does your username mean?
Doesn't really have a meaning. One of my friends used to say to me "Helonzyz, like Dragonball Z but Helonzyz" so Helonzyz stuck as a nickname for various sites. People often think it's a Doctor Who reference so I go with that too and use "Hellonsy" for my more "professional" stuff.
Describe yourself in three words.
Indecisive, easily amused.
Are you left or right handed?
Left, but only for drawing and writing; I've adapted for pretty much everything else :'D
What was your first deviation?
Ha ha, amazing :'D
What is your favourite type of art to create?
Update
A hoy hoy! I hadn't realised it had been just shy of a year since I last wrote a journal... My bad!
I started to create more but then 6 months a go my Nan was really poorly; worrying about her/working meant I didn't really feel motivated to do any art. Sadly in April we lost her; it's the first time I've lost someone so close and fully experienced how shit it is. I realise this is very negative and I wouldn't have mentioned it, but the reason I did was because within the month since losing her, I've created more art than I have in the last... Probably 6 months/year. So despite going through a shitty time, that's some sort of silver lining ri
